Black Friday...

Today is the Day-After-Thanksgiving, in other words, "Black Friday". I(Devin) never understood why everyone insisted that today was to be called "Black Friday", the weather was pretty nice, and usually is, as far as I can remember. However I had never been shopping at 6:00 a.m. on this day... I had heard stories from friends and even my Mom about how crazy traffic, stores and people are on this day. Some people look forward to this all year, now, I like to shop, but as I found out today, I am not as much of a shopper as I thought. Mom woke Charissa and I up this morning at 5:25. We threw some clothes on and jumped in the car, I had never heard so many yawns!! As we pulled out of the driveway, it was dark, and everything seemed so quiet. It felt like the three of us were the only people awake. Well, about five minutes later, as we came to an intersection- at which Toys R' Us was on the left, we knew that that thought was not true. Our first Destination was Target. We arrived there at about 6:10 and there was a line backed up to the back of the parking lot just to get in the door. We finally got in and Mom immediately sent us in a different direction because she had already planned out what she needed to get and she knew that we couldn't be with her. Ris and I just walked around the store and our journey through the crowded isle ways became quite humorous. We ended up seeing lots of people that we knew and it felt like all we said for and hour and forty-five minutes was "Excuse Me". I kept calling mom to make sure everything was alright, it was, but there were just very long lines!! We went to the mall next, and saw even more people, and found some pretty good deals. The overall trip was a success and now, alot of fun. I still haven't decided if I am going to be up for the craziness of "Black Friday" next year, but hey, I have a year to brace myself.

Analise got her Braces off today! She is very excited and she can not wait to eat corn on the cob!

A Trip To The Smokies!















Tennessee 2006...

This past week our family took a 10 day trip to Tennessee where we stayed in the beautiful Smoky Mountains. This was our second time there and we had just as much fun this trip! We were able to rest and relax,eat, fish,eat, play bad miton, eat some more, play basketball, and did I mention that we ate? We went to Dollywood the first day and kicked off our trip with some great food and a lot of fun rides! We went into town one day and shopped, but we decided that we would much rather be in our pajamas and in the mountains than be in the city and shopping. However, our shopping day became worthwhile as we made our last stop of the day, KARMEL KORN!!! The three girls had been craving a Caramel Apple and so we stopped to get one. We ended up coming out of the store with more "Karmel Korn" than we did caramel apples! In fact, we got an Ohio State tub full of Karmel Korn!!! We had so much fun on this trip but we are certainly glad to be home. There will be more pictures soon!
